Tracing Your Roots - The Internet and Beyond
2nd July 2013 - for five weeks

The Institute is holding a five week evening course. The course will be useful for students of all levels and will cover the sources needed to trace your ancestors. The course will cover both original records and internet resources. The course will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm-8.00pm commencing on Tuesday, 2nd July 2013

The course programme will include the following topics -

Week 1. 2 July. Records of Life and Death
Week 2. 9 July. Parish records (records of the parish other than parish register)
Week 3. 16 July. Wills and how to use them.
Week 4. 23 July. Census substitutes (listings of individuals prior to 1841)
Week 5. 30 July. Manorial Records

For those wishing to join the course after the start date please contact the Institute concerning
the concessionary rate.

The price for the course is £75.00, or £65.00 for IHGS Members and correspondence course students.
