Day and Residential Courses

Lecture roomThe day and residential courses cover a wide range of subjects, research sources and topics of interest and are open to family historians and all students. Beginners' courses are suitable for those who have just started to trace a family history or who wish to refresh their memories in the basic sources. Courses covering several advanced topics are available for students who have basic knowledge of genealogy. More unusual sources will be dealt with so that everyone will find something new and of value. Opportunities to gain practical experience are provided where possible. All the courses are taught by our experienced tutors and members of staff. For some courses, experts in particular areas of research will be invited to lecture.
