Evening/Afternoon CoursesThe Institute's Syllabus of Study calls for a broadly-based programme of reading and learning about the sources used for genealogical research in the context of family, social and economic history and their applications. Competence in genealogy requires training in the techniques of linking generations by means of documentary evidence. Evening classes often tend to bypass the necessary practical experience. These courses, while following the academic path towards The Institute's qualifications, aim to remedy the lack of practice in the use of sources and construction of pedigrees. |
