Family History Courses, Education and Qualifications

The Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies is an independent educational charitable trust, established to provide full academic facilities for training and research in the study of the history and structure of the family. Courses include single day schools on a variety of topics, residential weekends and week-long courses, evening courses and our very popular correspondence course. Clearly defined routes enable students to reach the level of qualification required for competent practice in the profession of genealogy.
