The Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies has a shop at its premises in Northgate, Canterbury.  FAMILY HISTORY SHOP is managed on behalf of the Trustees to provide a service to members and the public.  The Institute is an Educational Trust, registered as a Charity (No. 313304).

Making a Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our catalogue, and click on any item(s) that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Order Info' and then 'Complete Order' and you will be asked for a few details that we will need to be able to satisfy the order.

We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Access, Switch, Solo and Delta Card. We also accept cheque payment (UK drawn bank only). Send your order in writing and post it with your cheque, or simply phone or fax your order to us.

Whilst we endeavor to complete all orders promptly please allow 28 days. We will contact you by email if there are any difficulties with the order.

Price
All prices are quoted in pounds Sterling and are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise specified. All item prices are exclusive of delivery and packaging, unless otherwise stated. Details of our delivery charges are displayed when ordering your item.

Prices are correct at the time of order only and relate to internet purchases only. All orders for products are subject to availability and we reserve the right to refuse to supply and replace with any particular person.

Returns
UK Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000: A right to cancellation during a cooling off period. If you wish to cancel your order you have 7 clear working days which start when the goods are delivered. If you wish to cancel under this provision please inform us and we will refund payment on return of the item. You must return goods at your own expense and take care of the goods before returning them. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Discounts - Books
Members of The Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies may receive a 10% discount on all publications listed. This does not apply to correspondence course student unless they are also members.  When ordering please note that the postage is calculated at the full price of books and not the discount.  Please state your Institute Membership number. The membership discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.
