Three Tutorials focusing on records that are often linked and sometimes overlooked, presented by Les Mitchinson. They explain how to understand, find and get the best from the records.
A Tutorial that explains the different types of Will, the format and terminology and the different courts in which a pre-1858 will would be proved.

Court Records – Placing the Many Different Courts into Perspective
Les will explain the bigger picture regarding the many different courts. From the manorial courts or the sheriff’s tourn to the Quarter Sessions, and upwards to the Assizes and the various courts of Westminster. Locating the records of these various courts is also explained.

Ecclesiastical Court Records
The Tutorial explains the different processes of the Ecclesiastical Court- the courts business and the records generated. Sometimes called 'The Bawdy Court' they give a fascinating insight into the lives of our ancestors.
