Heraldry Tutorial 6 - Further Case Studies (3)

The sixth tutorial in the series will continue the theme Heraldic Case studies and will bring together the topics from previous workshops identifying individuals and family connections from heraldic achievements, memorials, and printed sources. Further opportunity to extend knowledge and heraldic vocabulary. Practical exercises throughout.
17th May, 2pm and repeated on 25th May, 10am
This tutorial will focus on aspects first considered in the Heraldic Sources tutorial, and will further explore the structure of the Visitation pedigrees, Narrative Indented form of pedigrees, and other published pedigrees by a variety of authors. Many of these works can be initially challenging to interpret, and this tutorial will give examples and practical exercises to greatly assist understanding.
Heraldic Journeys Part 1
22nd June 10am
The first tutorial in this new series of case studies will continue to bring together basic heraldic knowledge and identifying individuals and family connections from heraldic achievements, memorials, and printed sources. It is suggested that participants have a knowledge of heraldry or have attended the previous heraldic workshops.
