Sarah recently achieved the Diploma in Genealogy with IHGS and she is currently working as a freelance genealogist and researcher. Her interest in genealogy began in the early 1980s when her grandad told her about his Romany gypsy family. She is undertaking voluntary work with Midland Ancestors, the SoG and the Romany & Traveller FHS.

Kate is an enthusiastic newcomer to the fields of genealogy and heraldry, currently developing her skills through formal study of Heraldry with IHGS. Her father was adopted as a child, so much of her own family history had been very opaque to her while growing up. When she was 19, her father began to meet his wider biological family and it was suggested that their rare surname may have a Germanic origin. As she began researching, she discovered that a variant of her biological family's surname appears in Burke's Armoury and she had become sufficiently interested to have begun the heraldry course. Long term she would like to eventually pursue the Higher Certificate as well.
