Designed for beginners and those with some experience, these four Tutorials build up a useful understanding of palaeography. Each Tutorial is stand-alone, but the four will also work together to build an understanding of the most common documents used in local and family history and how to read them. They are also useful for Higher Certificate and Diploma students and as revision for the examinations.
Dr Caroline Adams has a professional archives qualification and is a member of the Archives and Records Association. Until 2014 she was Senior Archivist at West Sussex Record Office, and is now a freelance archivist, palaeographer and historian.
