Last week, the hotly anticipated English and Welsh census became available to the public digitally for the first time. This is a particularly important event for genealogical research, given that the 1931 census for England and Wales was destroyed in a fire during WWII, and the 1941 census was not taken. Thus, the next census to be made available to the public will not be until 2052, some years away!
If you need help in finding an ancestor in the 1921 census for England Wales, then please do contact us today.
The Scottish census will be released 'in the latter half of 2022'. The Scottish 1931 census survives, and so this will be released to the public in 2032.
