IHGS October Heraldic Challenge

Monday 30th September 2024

IHGS Heraldic Challenge October 2024.

This month’s challenge again calls for the use of a well-known Ordinary of Armorials. Simply identify the principal family associated with each of the coats blazoned below then, using the county name provided, pinpoint a property with which a branch of each family was connected historically. Finally, identify the common status of these properties.

Entries should be submitted to Chris Broom (ihgstutorchris@gmail.com) by 31st October 2024. The winner will enjoy free entry to an IHGS tutorial of their choice.
