IHGS Heraldic Challenge – May 2024
This month’s challenge returns to the art of heraldic identification . The task is straightforward, although the path to resolution may prove a little trickier.
1. Identify the family names associated with the two coats of arms ‘impaled’ on the shield below.
2. Name the specific location with which the family represented by the ‘dexter’ coat was associated.
3. Identify the full name of the family member who was born in 1868 and died in 1915.
4. Explain how the individual identified at 3. above is ‘connected’ with the actress Nicole Kidman.
