NEW ANYTIME TALKS FROM IHGS

We are delighted to announce the launch of a new series of recorded talks, now available to view online. These sessions offer family historians the flexibility to learn at their own pace and revisit key topics at any time.

The latest recordings include:

Getting the Most from FamilySearch with FamilySearch Ambassador Lucy Reynoldson – a free talk offering valuable guidance on making the most of this essential online resource.

Researching Your Ancestors Using Newspapers with Chloe O’Shea, exploring how to uncover stories and details that bring family history to life. Chloe’s book "Tracing Your Ancestors Using Newspapers" will be published by Pen & Sword next spring.

Tracing Your Illegitimate Ancestors with Elizabeth Yule, offering sensitive and practical advice on tackling one of genealogy’s more challenging areas.

Tracing Your Nonconformist Ancestors, also with Elizabeth Yule, delving into the rich records of those who worshipped outside the established Church.

These recorded talks complement the IHGS’s ongoing programme of live Zoom tutorials which cover subjects such as heraldry, manorial documents, and research techniques.
