The Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies – the UK's premier School of Family History, founded in 1961 in Canterbury – is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help manage and grow our social media presence!
Role: Social Media Volunteer As a small educational charity, we're seeking someone with skills in social media to:
Create engaging posts about genealogy tips, heraldic facts, course highlights, and historical insights
Schedule content across social media platforms
Help increase our online community and reach more family history enthusiasts worldwide
Monitor engagement and suggest ideas to showcase our unique library, courses, and events
This is a flexible, remote-friendly role (with occasional in-person opportunities in Canterbury if local). Ideal for someone with experience in social media management, a love for history/genealogy, and creative flair. No prior professional qualification needed – just enthusiasm and reliability!
