The Institute as part of our commitment to making our collections more widely accessible have joined in partnership with Ancestry.co.uk to publish The Lang Collection of Gretna Green marriages online. Held at The Institute the Lang Collection covers the period 1795 and 1895, with a few earlier references. In all over 4500 entries are recorded for those lost border marriages.
