Tutorial - Forgotten Women with Janet Few

This presentation will focus on our female ancestors who can sometimes be overlooked, often because it is harder to find them recorded in records than it is our male ancestors. This presentation will use a series of case studies to describe the sources used for researching women who spent time in workhouses or asylums, the mothers of illegitimate children, prostitutes and those accused of witchcraft amongst others. The sources used to tell their stories will be described.

In order to be able to join the tutorial you will need access to ZOOM. On the day of the Tutorial you will be sent a unique ID and password.

Please allow for two hours for the session, including joining and discussions. The talk will last approximately an hour.
