Mummy, what did you do in the Great War? by IHGS Graduate Emma Jolly   -   Tuesday 19 October at 2pm   

Emma’s talk is an exploration of women's roles in the First World War and the surviving records (including online resources) which family historians can use to explore the lives of their ancestors and others. The presentation will cover the auxiliary services, medical roles, transport, police, women on the land, and voluntary organisations.  

Emma has written five books dedicated to different aspects of genealogical research and is a regular contributor to family history publications. She is a graduate of IHGS and is a member of the professional research body, the Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives (AGRA).
