This 10-week course explores the complex court system our ancestors had to navigate and the records they generated, and how they can uncover family disputes and hidden stories. Through sample records and case studies, learn where to find these records and how to interpret them. This course is perfect for genealogists of all levels looking to break through research brick walls.

Whilst these tutorials build as a series, you can also attend these as stand alone tutorials. 

2. Manorial courts

This session will provide an overview of the Manorial courts and how their records can help your genealogical research using case studies to demonstrate.

Our online tutorials provide guidance on a broad range of topics. They are open to everyone.

In order to be able to join the tutorial you will need access to ZOOM. On the day of the Tutorial you will be sent a unique ID and password.

Please allow for two hours for the session, including joining and discussions. The talk will last approximately an hour.
