The 35th International Congress of Genealogical and Heraldic Sciences, Clare College, Cambridge 15-19 August 2022 is welcoming submission from speakers from the genealogical world.
The international congresses have a very different flavour from other types of genealogical event, and present an opportunity to get to know other specialists from around the world. The focus is on presentation of topics of individual interest and expertise, as reinterpreted through the lens of the Congress theme. The Congress is supported by the Institute, and the organisers hope to showcase some of the best speakers in the field, as was the case with the 1976 London Congress, which Lord Mountbatten fought hard on behalf of the SOG to bring to the UK. On that occasion Cecil Humphery-Smith was the Secretary General.
They are looking for experts to present a 30 minute talk, following which there will be 10 minutes for questions and discussion.
The congress theme is : Reformation, Revolution, Restoration.
