THE PROFESSIONAL APPROACH - Setting Up and Running a Genealogical Business
The IHGS Professional Approach [which was previously a popular day course] is being made available through Zoom and will consist of three separate two-hour modules, held on consecutive days. It will be led by practising genealogist Les Mitchinson, Lucy Brown and Paul Carter (web designer). The cost of the event will be £40 and bookings can be made using the IHGS shop, https://shop.ihgs.ac.uk/courses/online-tutorials-and-workshops. The programme will be:-
Module 1: What can you offer, starting out in business, organising yourself.
Module 2: Using a website to promote your business, data protection.
Module 3: Professional links and networking, growing your business, the end product - reports, family history, pedigree charts, tailored products.
Each Module will last about 2 hours and there will be discussion time.
