Tutorial - An Ancestral Christmas with Mrs Yule Herself!

Achievements researcher and IHGS tutor Liz Yule takes a light-hearted look at Christmases past and how the festive season can help with family history research. Why was Christmas day so popular for marriages? What surnames have links to the festive period? Why were Christmases past so much colder than today? And much more.

Our online tutorials provide guidance on a broad range of topics. They are open to everyone.

In order to be able to join the tutorial you will need access to ZOOM. On the day of the Tutorial you will be sent a unique ID and password.

Please allow for two hours for the session, including joining and discussions. The talk will last approximately an hour.
