Tutorial - DNA First Aid: Where are my matches? with Dr Sophie Kay

When you delve into genetic genealogy, you leap into a formidable pool of genetic matches. Learning how to sort and sift them can be a real challenge: but what to do when the matches you need to tackle a particular problem simply don’t seem to be there?

Focusing on autosomal DNA, this session will bring structure and strategy to that no-match scenario with some ‘DNA First Aid’. We’ll identify four potential causes for a lack of matches on a particular line; highlight the clues to look out for in your match list and family tree to diagnose each of these issues; and offer practical steps you can take to remedy the situation.
