The Battle of Agincourt was an English victory in the Hundred Years' War, which took place on 25 October 1415 (Saint Crispin's Day). Amongst those killed on the day were many members of the French nobility: it saw the end of the male line for may noble houses. One historian said it read like a “roll call of the military and political leaders of the past generation”. Anne will discuss the battle and what is can tell us about Heraldry in the early 15th century.

Anne is Professor of Medieval history at the University of Southampton and Dean of the Faculty of Humanities. In 2022 she was appointed Arundel Herald Extraordinary.
